Lendiniae Explorer unit accommodates the age range of 13-18 of the Scouts which previously had been called the Adventure Scouts.

Originally Explorers would only go to the district unit in Yeovil but due to the growing amount of youths which live in the outer towns and villages and the fact of the large amount of scouts at Wessex we were granted permission to run our own unit which has been very successful.

We have a more adult approach to scouting in Explorers and at 14 they can do the activities which Scouts of the lower ages can't like Scuba Diving, Snow Boarding, Motor Sports to name a few.

We run the young leaders programme and at the age of 18 a scout can then undertaken the position and training to become a leader but they would have completed module credits through the young leaders badge work. Duke of Edinburgh Awards are run in this section and we undertake Ten Tors training as well as many other awards.

We enjoy great nights out to socialise and mix with other explorers through the district network. Fun and games are had by all and bowling and skittle nights are regular events.

Street Sports is a new and exciting badge which has been introduced to give Explorers a chance to show their skills and showman ship .

Explorers are on Wednesday nights 7:00 till 9:00. Come and join us and have some real fun! For more details please contact Ritchie, details above
